WE ARE SEAVIEW
Seaview Baptist Church exists to help this generation and the next to KNOW God’s plan for their life, to grow in God’s LOVE as a family and to LIVE as God has taught. We do this best as a family and want every person to feel there is something for them within our church family and the community around us.
OUR MISSION
Seaview’s mission is for all of us to extravagantly bless people with the love of God so together, we grow to follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly.
OUR VISION
We strive to be a church within the community. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls, but we make it an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.
OUR VALUES
We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ. The warm fellowship of Seaview reflects Jesus’ prayer for the unity of his church. It is also a well from which we draw for our ministry as we reach out to our community and around the world.
SEAVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH STATEMENT OF FAITH:
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and that it is of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
- We believe in the Godhead as the lifegiver in the revelation and operation of Christian faith.
- We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, crucified, died to atone for the sins of humanity, and to reconcile humanity to God, that he was buried, that he arose again from the grave, and lives today our hope of glory.
- We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of the Lord’s death until He comes.
- We believe in the personal bodily return of Christ; that the saved shall live forever in Heaven; that the lost are eternally condemned: and that salvation is ours by personal acceptance of Christ by faith and the regeneration of the Holy Spirit.
- We believe that baptism is for the believer only, and is by mode the immersion of the believer in water, thus setting forth the essential elements of redemption.
- We believe that the Lord’s Table is open to all wishing to participate.
- We believe that the church as envisioned by the Holy Spirit is a body of believers associated together for worship, mission, discipleship, fellowship and the spread of the Gospel throughout the world.
